Traditional Knowledge and Intellectual Property: Looking at the Future

LL.M. Conference on 8 October 2007

Conference Flyer

In the past few years Torino University Law School, the WIPO Worldwide Academy and the
International Training Center of the ILO have organized a conference in conjunction with
their LL.M in Intellectual Property.

Last year’s conference examined the efforts in the harmonization of patent laws around the world, identifying the areas of progress, the stumbling blocks, and the contentious issues.

This year the Conference will analyze the role of Traditional Knowledge (TK) within the field of Intellectual Property (IP) and test the rationale for rebalancing IP rights by including TK.
