Carlos Rodriguez
I am bolivian lawyer and I had the privilege of participate in the 2004 LLM WIPO/Turin University Master in Intellectual Property Program edition. I used to teach Intellectual Property Law at the Universidad Privada Boliviana as well as practice as a lawyer.
I returned to my country and I had the possibility to keep teaching Intellectual Property Law with new experiences, not only in my university, but also participate in discussions and conferences as lecturer in some institutions like de Chamber of Commerce and the Post graduate courses in the Escuela de Práctica JurÃdica in the local Bar Association. I also had the opportunity to expand the services of my law firm and write some papers for some organizations like the International Intellectual Property Institute in Washington DC.
Something that I would like to stress is the necessity for people, especially in developing countries, to know about their intellectual property rights; in that way, the WIPO Academy/Turin University program, and the discussions held with the professors were a great source of knowledge.
